There are many ways to be involved at UUFEC and one of the best ways to meet people and experience true connection is by volunteering! Whether it is a one-time role or an ongoing commitment, there are ways to serve that will fit your lifestyle, skills and interests.

Here are some “one-time” ways that you can be engaged at UUFEC:

Bring snacks:

We enjoy snacks together every week after the service. A sign up sheet is on the table by the Board room, near the snack table.

Help with the Caring Committee:

It can be as easy as giving someone a ride or a meal.

Be a Greeter:

Welcome congregants and visitors on Sunday mornings and collect donations during the service.

Provide a meal:

To Opportunity Place, a shelter that helps women and families who find themselves homeless.

Help with our building and grounds:

Weeding, planting, cutting back vegetation; doing odd jobs in and around the building and more! Contact Julie Winfree at facilitieschair@uufec.com.

Be a Religious Exploration Assistant:

We have teachers who plan and lead these classes. Having another adult in the room helps. Contact RE Director Sophia Lopez or RE Committee Chair, Amy Weisberg

Help with Social events:

our Fun, Food, & Fellowship committee leads social events and can always use help with setup, food preparation, beverage offerings, and cleanup. Contact Jan Mullins.

Do you have other talents to share or ideas for activities? Interested in getting more engaged—being a service leader (you’ll get training!)? teaching an RE class? Organizing a social event? Check out our Church Leadership page, for people to contact.
