Greetings from your President!

Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of the Emerald Coast
Greetings from your president!
UUFEC is off with a bang after congregation re-opened its doors following the worldwide-event-that-shall-not-be-named.  Congregants let their voices be heard at the January meeting to say where UUFEC needs to go next — UP, UP, and UP!
We want to bring back the FUN AND FELLOWSHIP, and organize social events at the church and around the community!
We want to boost our fantastic RELIGIOUS EXPLORATION program, and SUPPORT the STAFF to manage it fantastically, paying them a FAIR SALARY for their work!
We want to redouble our SOCIAL JUSTICE efforts and COMMUNITY OUTREACH!
We want a MINISTER who guides us on our way to improving ourselves, our congregation, and our community!
And let’s have another dollop of FUN AND FELLOWSHIP for good measure!
Thanks to YOUR 2022 PLEDGES and contributions, our Finance Committee smiles as they report our present situation to the board.  Thank you for making that good news!
….They also report that, in order to pay our professional ministers, recruit staff to lead our RE program, and make the difference we want to make in our community, then UUFEC must see a 20% increase in household pledges over last year’s commitment.
And that is where YOU come in again.  We must all renew our support together!
We launch our pledge drive 5 March 2023, and hope to close it out with the highest support UUFEC has ever seen.  We deserve it!  Our community deserves it.  YOU DESERVE IT!
I can proudly say the board of trustees has set the example in pledging, with 100% participation and overall 20% increase from previous years.  We wouldn’t dare ask of the congregation what we wouldn’t demonstrate ourselves.
We hope you will be inspired to do the same!  It is vital that we bring in these additional funds in order to bring back the programming that we want to see, and to increase our presence and outreach in our community.
Thank you so much for being a part of Unitarian Universalism along our Gulf Coast.  Let’s make 2023 a year for us to shine and to grow!
If you have any questions, please contact Treasurer Denny Lauer at treasurer@uufec.com, or Finance Chair Judy Byrne Riley at finance@uufec.com.
