Resurrection for UUs

Together Again! April 17, In-person Easter service at UUFEC!!

This Easter we plan to sit together in our lovely building with some friends watching online, and we will experience a new sense of aliveness together. Does the strange story of a young builder turned itinerant preacher in ancient Palestine have anything to teach us in 2022? Is there a kind of resurrection for UUs?

What is resurrection all about and what does it mean for such a religiously diverse bunch like Unitarian Universalists? Rabbi Jesus did have some very good ideas, ideas that are still living in the minds of humans 2000 after the stone was rolled away from the tomb. Is there anything there for us? Join us Easter Sunday in person and online and let’s find out!

MARK YOUR CALENDARS:

Your UUFEC Board of Directors has set a date of April 17 for our first in-person service in over two years! Grab your Easter bonnet, plus a spirit of adventure and humor as we begin the “new normal.” We will wear masks and ask that you sit with your family/household members, spreading ourselves throughout the sanctuary. For now, we will have to forgo coffee (!!) and goodies, but it is a beginning.
Some things don’t change: We will be together, joining in worship and glad to see each other.

HELP US SHOW OFF THE BUILDING

You don’t have to wait until April 17 to gather with UUFECers at the building. We have lots of work to do between now and then. Board members Janet Chapman (janetd90@hotmail.com) and Gil Brown (vkbrowniii@cox.net) have stepped up to lead the charge and they have a big Reopening List. This is a job for all of us, not just a few of us. Please contact them to see how you can help. What has already been done is a deep clean of the church carpets, upholstery, baseboards, etc. and the building looks wonderful. We need your final touch to make it perfect.

Questions on anything? Please contact UUFEC President Jane Park (president@uufec.com).
