Year’s end is neither an end nor a beginning but a going on, with all the wisdom that experience can instill in us. ~Hal Borland

It is now 2010 and our RE Program is doing great thanks to the fantastic group of volunteers who bring their talents, time, and wisdom to share with our UUFEC babies, children, tweens, and teens. The Fall has been very busy with some wonderful Family Fun Nights and the children’s and youth new service projects with Opportunity Place and SOCKS. We have much in store over the next few months.  Opportunities for learning, service, and fellowship as we carry the wisdom of our experience into the new year while living our UU Principles.

RE Service Projects:

Opportunity Place Can Food Drive :

The tweens and teens will continue to collect can foods for Opportunity Place’s pantry. The bin is located at the back of the Fellowship building. Help us fill their new pantry!

SOCKS (Save Our Cats and Kittens):

The Fun in Action children will collect items for this No – Kill cat shelter. Items include cat food & litter, paper towels, bleach, cat toys, blankets and towels. The collection bin is located next to the can food bin at the back of the Fellowship building.

Thank you for the generous donations and continued support of our RE Program!

If you’d like to volunteer in RE and spend some time with these bright and beautiful UUFEC children, either once in while or on a continuing basis, just let me or Jennifer Jordan ( RE Committee Chair) know. There is always room for you.

As always – Questions, Concerns, or Ideas? Contact your DRE.
