Here we are in the middle of the summer and you’d think things would be a bit slow and easy….not so. “Things” are happening! Our attendance continues to rise, we have more members and visitors for Sunday Services this summer, we have members attending Leadership Training, the UUA General Assembly, and many attending our various committee meetings throughout the warm summer months. And now we are investigating the purchase of land and a building adjacent to our church property. We already own the land parcel just above us that sits at the corner and now the land next to it with the A-frame building has become available. No decisions yet, and no price. We are in general discussions, but if we are able to put together an affordable package, the fellowship will be asked to consider supporting this purchase. Lots of exciting options – more room to use for classes, and more space for future growth. We’ll see how this plays out. But whatever is done, it will involve the entire fellowship.
August 29th we will have our annual UU FAIR – an open house with lots of fun and information on Children and Adult RE programs, Circles, and chances to fellowship together. We will also highlight opportunities to get involved in community service. Keep your eyes open. Get ready to join in.
There are a lot of chances to get involved. I hope you find one that interests you. We are growing not only in size but in commitment to our church and to the entire community.
