Approximately every 3 seconds, someone in the U.S. needs blood. Help fill that need on February 28th. Northwest Florida Blood Services ( http://www.nfbcblood.org/ )will bring their Blood Mobile to UUFEC from 10am to 2pm. Almost anyone can donate. RE Sewing Bee 2/20/2010

RE SEWING BEE With the success of our Christmas bags, RE is branching out into birthday and other gift bags to sell for a fundraiser. We’ll be getting together *February 20th* at 2 pm and sewing until we’re tired.

Sewing experience is not required, but if you have a machine please bring it. If you have questions, please contact Jennifer Jordan (jenniferljordan@cox.net, 678-7205).

Our Fellowship’s 2009/2010 fiscal year ends April 30. Please remit the balance of your pledge commitment or other gifts and donations prior to that date. If you find that you will be unable to contribute the full amount of your original pledge, please let the treasurer know as soon as possible so an adjustment to your records can be made. To finish our year in the black, we need the support of all our members and friends of the fellowship. No gift is too small!

Membership Orientation

Would you like to know more about what it means to be a member of the religious community that is the Unititarian Universalist Fellowship of the Emerald Coast? On Saturday, February 6, from 9 until 11 there will be a small group, informal orientation discussion at the fellowship. Your are invited to attend to hear about what unites us, and to learn of our commitment to service, spiritual growth and to be caring. Continental breakfast will be provided. Disaster Relief Fund for Haiti

The Unitarian Universalist Service Committee (UUSC) and the Unitarian Universalist Association (UUA) have launched a joint relief effort to bring aid to the impoverished island nation of Haiti in the wake of devastation wrought by the earthquake which struck the island on January 12, 2010.

The Haitian Office of Coordination of Humanitarian Assistance (OCHA) estimates 2.2 million people are immediately affected in this nation of 9 million people.

Adam & Eve! Are coming the the Fellowship!

The UUFEC Theater Circle is proud to bring you the comedy play *”Adam and Eve*”! This hilarious play puts forth the premise that once given free will, humans can’t be controlled anymore. And humans learn that once they leave the garden, they can’t count on advice anymore!

*January 30th* will be the performance; a great spaghetti dinner starts at 6:00 p.m. with dessert following the play. Tickets are $15.00 for adults and $7.50 for kids 6 – 12 – kids under 6 eat free! Tickets are available from cast members, *Fun, Food & Fellowship* staff, and at the door the night of the performance. Join us for an evening of wonderful food and great comedy – see you there! It’s recommended that children enjoy activities in the RE room or Nursery – childcare will be available.

Better Listening 2/3/2010

John Drury will discuss the works of local composer David Ott and Baroque composer John Dowland at the community classical music study series, Better Listening, at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of the Emerald Coast in Valparaiso on February 3. The Better Listening series, now in its eighth year, combines commentaries on classic music with related CD selections. Future topics for the series include Symphonic Instruments, The Brain on Music, and Spanish Music by Russian Composers. The programs will continue each Wednesday evening, through February, from 7 to 9 PM at the UUFEC Fellowship Building, 1295 Bayshore Drive, Valparaiso. All sessions are open to the public and free.
